Alupro has launched a new educational campaign aimed at students aged between 14 and 16, with the aim of improving their knowledge of best practice in recycling. Since the beginning of April, schools across the UK have been invited to participate in the “Create Your Future” initiative, which aims to integrate resource efficiency into the classroom in a fun and engaging way.

The campaign includes a series of lesson plans and associated resources, and positions aluminum and steel as key materials for a wide variety of packaging applications, as well as explaining how to separate them correctly for recycling.

As part of the program, students will be challenged to design the packaging for a new beauty product and write a television or radio commercial highlighting its environmental performance. Students will use their creativity, vision and knowledge to develop a solution with a focus on 100% recyclability. The most innovative entries will receive a £100 voucher to spend in the store of their choice.

“Create Your Future is the latest in a long series of educational initiatives created by Alupro to make recycling more attractive to students. The aim is to integrate recycling into the curriculum and make participation more attractive to students.”
