Alupro launches new campaign to increase recycling rates in UK

Alupro undertook an initiative in the United Kingdom to increase aluminum collection figures, and to promote it they created the #FoilFriday campaign that seeks to involve consumers in this task.

Specifically, from July to December, a program will be implemented to provide selected households with digital assets as part of a plan to prevent excessive plastic decomposition and reduce the amount of waste generated.

Together, local governments and the initiative will join efforts to promote domestic recycling through the social media platform. This will encourage citizens to take care of the environment by improving their recycling practices.

Alupro’s #FoilFriday initiative is designed to motivate people to learn more about recycling and sustainable development. It offers free online tools with useful links and information to help you learn about the environmental impact we produce.

The six-month initiative also provides website content, a fact sheet and local press releases for use throughout the campaign, with all promotional materials also available in Welsh.

Tom Giddings highlighted Alupro’s work in educating consumers and local authorities about the importance of aluminum container recycling. “One of our key roles as an organization is consumer education and by working closely with local authorities, we can effectively communicate the benefits and importance of recycling aluminum packaging. Throughout all our campaigns, the most important message is that aluminum is infinitely recyclable, which means it can be reused again and again, and more importantly, this is where making a few small changes can add up to a big environmental impact.”

“We are confident that this campaign will allow us to reach a wider audience, while contributing to an increase in aluminum container recycling rates,” concluded the executive.
