Celebrated metal lithography company, The Ohio Art Company, recently announced the purchase of all the assets of Allstate Can Company, a well-known U.S. manufacturer of high quality cans.
Elena West, who is the chief executive officer of The Ohio Art Company, said the acquisition will bring great benefits to the company. “It will significantly expand our capabilities beyond lithography, enabling us to offer a broad range of services to meet customer demand and support the company’s continued growth,” the board said.
Since its founding in 1915, Ohio Art Company has been a leading supplier of metal lithography. Although they are primarily known for their famous Etch A Sketch toy, the company has been focused on strengthening its lithography business after selling the brand in 2016. Based in Bryan-Ohio, the company specializes in accurate, colorful printing and has a long-standing relationship with Allstate Can Corporation, allowing them to provide complementary services to meet the needs of their customers.
With more than a century of experience in can manufacturing, Allstate Can Corporation belonged to the Papera family and is still one of the few independent companies in the United States dedicated to this industry. Its factories are located in New Jersey and Nevada, and offer a wide variety of products such as decorative and industrial cans for various sectors such as food, cosmetics, chemicals, petroleum, children’s entertainment, household goods and military use.
With the acquisition, The Ohio Art Company will be able to expand its manufacturing capabilities and offer full services to its customers. In addition to lithography and coating, they will now have the ability to partner with steel sourcing and service companies on campus, as well as resources to manufacture prepress plates, conventional and UV printing, metal stamping, complete canmaking and warehousing. This will enable them to better meet the needs of today’s market for comprehensive services.
The purchase by The Ohio Art Company is an important step in its business approach to meet the ever-increasing demands of customers. This will allow them to develop production strategies that will cover all the metal packaging needs of both their current and potential customers. Company president West says they have found an excellent partner in Allstate Can Corporation, as they share the same commitment to quality and have been providing professional products and services for more than 10 years.
Mike Papera, representing Allstate Can Corporation, expressed his satisfaction with the partnership with The Ohio Art Company. They have been working together successfully for more than two decades and together they are committed to offering their customers an unparalleled experience in terms of quality, manufacturing and customer service.
The company reported the appointment of Dave D’Agostino as the new director of sales, tasked with working closely with CEO West and Martin Killgallon, president of The Ohio Art Company. Mike Papera will continue to serve as Senior Director of Acquisitions at Allstate Can Corporation.
