ALBA RECEIVES TWO MAJOR ENVIRONMENTAL AWARDS FROM GREEN ORGANIZATION
Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), one of the world’s largest aluminum smelters, won two important awards: the Green World Award ‘Gold’ and the Green World Leader for 2022 from the Green Organization.
Commenting on the recognition, Alba’s CEO Ali Al Baqali said, “As one of the leading industrial companies in the Region, Alba has been a major investor in sustainable initiatives that help preserve and protect the environment. Winning two prestigious awards from the Green Organization translates our continued commitment to operate sustainably and produce responsibly.”
For his part, Alba’s Safety, Health, Environment, Fire and Security Director, Mohamed Khalil, added: “At Alba, we have a lifelong commitment to sustainable development and to having a positive impact on the environment and society at large. These awards are dedicated to every employee and contractor worker for making such recognitions possible.”
