Agua Nea joins the BCorp movement in the Juan Roig’s Lanzadera.
Agua NEA is a 100% recyclable aluminum bottled water company that innovates by transforming its containers into tools for planting corals to restore devastated natural ecosystems.
It was recently selected among more than a hundred startups to be accelerated by Lanzadera, the business accelerator created by Juan Roig.
“For us it is a dream come true. After 3 years working in one of the most difficult times for entrepreneurship (during a pandemic), we finally have the support and guidance of the Lanzadera team, the largest accelerator in Spain that has already driven more than a thousand businesses. Living the dream of any young entrepreneur,” said Alex Dakov, founder and CEO.
“To share a space for work and growth, where we will spend a few months immersed in dozens of mentoring and boosting programs, together with more than 300 entrepreneurs, selected from among the most innovative companies in Spain. All of these startups, like us, are looking to innovate in their area of expertise,” Dakov added.
“Having been selected by Lanzadera is just one of the many fruits that this commitment has given us. And this makes us proud and motivates us in equal parts to continue working every day to become the water company that generates the greatest positive impact on the planet,” he reiterated.
The startup’s commitment to the environment goes beyond eliminating single-use plastics, which is why they are developing actions to restore coral reefs, and to date, according to the startup, they have already planted more than 1,500 corals.
