Actega is a producer for the printing and packaging, adhesives and sealants industries. Actega recently announced the appointment of Dennis Siepmann as the new international sustainability director . This is a completely new position and is in line with Actega’ s ESG (environmental, social and governance) objectives as a group.

Specifically, Siepmann will be responsible for the development and implementation of Actega‘s sustainability and ESG initiatives. Priorities include the circular economy, sustainable solutions and the goal of Altana, Actega’s parent company, to be climate neutral by 2025. One of Dennis Siepmann ‘s main challenges will be to align Actega ‘s sustainability efforts and integrate them into the company’s technologies and operations.

Dennis Siepmann, a chemist and university-trained chemist, has been working for Actega for more than a decade. During his career within, he has played a key role in creating green solutions that impact the medical and consumer goods sectors. During his career at Actega, Siepmann has played a key role in the realization of several projects in the field of sustainability.

In this context, Actega refers to the development of environmentally friendly PVC-free materials for medical applications, or thermoplastic elastomers whose processing was improved with a view to applications within personal care. Actega has recently joined the 4evergreen cross-sector alliance. This alliance promotes synergy between companies that promote packaging characterized by a small carbon footprint and the use of reusable fibers.
