Novelis, an Atlanta-based rolled aluminum company, recently signed a new aluminum sheet supply agreement with Coca-Cola Bottlers’ Sales & Services Company (CCBSS). The goal of both companies is to promote a sustainable future for beverage packaging.

The multinational Novelis recently signed an agreement with several Coca-Cola bottlers in North America to supply them with aluminum beverage can plates. This quantity and quality of material will come from its plant under construction in Bay Minette, Alabama, and this is a long-term commitment.

For his part, Novelis president, Steve Fisher, said that the agreement between Novelis and the company was a “very good one”.e company and Coca Cola reinforced the position Novelis had been playing in recent years, i.e. that of being a supplier of aluminum for soft drink cans. “It further strengthens Novelis’ position as a leading supplier of aluminum for beverage cans and validates our investment in expanding rolling and recycling capacity in North America, as well as solidifying a promising future for sustainable aluminum as the packaging material of choice for beverages.”he added.

A very big change has been seen in the aluminum sector as many companies are committing to diversity through their programs and actions.
