Crown Embalagens expands its operations in Brazil.
Crown Embalagens announced the expansion of its sixth industrial unit in Brazil (Rio Verde) which opened at the end of 2019.
With an investment of R$ 300 million (more than US$ 50 million), the company plans to install a second production line of aluminum cans, expecting to generate 50 direct jobs by the end of 2021.
The expectation is to double the annual production of aluminum cans to two billion units.
Wilmar Arinelli, president of Crown Embalagens, indicated that the new application is due to the excellent operational results of the unit’s first year. With increased demand and expansion plans, Crown is considering new investments in the region. “Our experience with the Rio Verde plant, chosen for its good infrastructure, availability of skilled labor, energy and water, in addition to its excellent geographic location, allows the State of Goias to receive future investments from Crown,” said its president.
