Heineken grows in Brazil

The Heineken Group announced its intention to build a new brewery in Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

A strategic location for the brewery due to the fact that this region has an important growth in the Premium and Mainstream segments, being the first segment the one that Heineken will produce with its brands Heineken, Amstel and Devassa.

“The Heineken Group believes in Brazil and continues to invest to ensure that its products reach all consumers and customers throughout the country,” said Maurício Giamellaro, president of the Heineken Group in Brazil, in a press release.

The Heineken group arrived in Brazil in May 2010, after the acquisition of the beer division of Grupo FEMSA and, in 2017, acquired Brasil Kirin, becoming the second player in the Brazilian beer market.
