Sencon, a leading global provider of sensors, gauges, and line control systems for the metal packaging industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Mohn as Sales Manager for the Americas.
With over 30 years of solid experience in the metal packaging sector, Mark joins Sencon at a key moment, coinciding with the company’s celebration of 50 years of innovation and service to the global can manufacturing industry.
Based in Dayton, Ohio, Mark is a recognized figure in the sector, where he has built a reputation based on a practical, “full-cycle” approach, encompassing sales, installation, and technical support. His career began in automation and control systems, frequently working on-site, in direct contact with the machinery and professionals driving the industry.
This appointment coincides with a significant milestone for Sencon. Founded in 1976 by Winston Shields, the company continues to operate as an independent, family-owned company, committed to precision engineering.
Eric Shields, President of Sencon Inc., commented:
“As we celebrate Sencon’s 50th anniversary, we are proud to continue upholding my father’s values. The addition of Mark Mohn reflects this. His technical depth and commitment to hands-on work represent the fundamental values upon which Sencon was built. At Sencon, we don’t just sell products; we offer knowledge and support. Mark is the ideal person to lead that mission.”
Throughout his career, Mark has been recognized for his ability to connect traditional mechanical equipment with modern electronic diagnostic systems. His philosophy perfectly aligns with Sencon’s commitment to delivering intuitive, high-performance solutions that enhance reliability and facilitate the work of on-site operators.
“This industry is like home to me,” says Mark. “I’ve always been comfortable in environments where I can wear multiple hats and solve real problems for customers. Ultimately, it all comes down to ethics and empathy. Customers need to know that you’ll do the right thing and that you won’t disappear when a problem arises. Joining Sencon is a perfect fit, and I look forward to leveraging my experience to help our partners in the Americas optimize their production lines.”
Mark is eager to connect with both former colleagues and new partners to discuss how Sencon’s latest innovations can add value to their operations. For any inquiries, you can contact Mark at: mmohn@sencon.com
