During COP30, Ball Corporation, together with the Global Beverage Can Circularity Alliance and the International Aluminium Institute, participated in the presentation of a study commissioned to the aluminum technical experts at Innoval Technology.
The report analyzes the benefits of recycling aluminum cans directly into new cans, instead of using mixed alloy recycling. Among the most relevant conclusions are: greater efficiency in recycling, significant energy savings, reduction of CO₂ emissions, and an improvement in the quality of recycled aluminum, favoring a more effective circular economy in the beverage industry.
The initiative reinforces the efforts of Ball Corporation and its international allies to promote sustainable practices in the beverage packaging sector, showing how technical innovation can contribute to cleaner and more efficient recycling.
