The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) concluded its anti-dumping investigation into imports of aluminum foil originating from China, determining that these products were being sold at prices below their fair value and posed a threat to manufacturers in the Eurasian bloc.
As a result, the body decided to apply anti-dumping duties for a period of five years from October 20, 2025, with rates varying between 17.16% and 20.24%, depending on the producer.
Among the affected companies are Xiamen Xiashun Aluminium Foil Co., Ltd., with a duty of 19.52%, and Jiangsu Dingsheng New Materials Joint-Stock Co., Ltd., with 20.24%. For other Chinese manufacturers, the rate was set at 17.16%.
The measures cover aluminum foil with a thickness of less than 0.2 millimeters, used primarily for packaging and industrial applications. The decision seeks to protect the competitiveness of the aluminum industry within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
