Ball Corporation, together with personal care brands Soffie and Aeroflex, has introduced the world’s first aluminum aerosols certified by the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) in Brazil. This certification ensures that the aluminum meets strict environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria, from extraction to production, marking a milestone in responsible packaging for the beauty and personal care industry.

The packaging features the ASI seal visibly displayed, inviting consumers to participate in a more transparent and sustainable supply chain. Soffie’s deodorant line, RUN Live and RUN Ultra, designed for athletes, are the first global products with this certification and are now available in stores. Aeroflex has also incorporated certified aluminum into its range of deodorants, hairsprays, dry shampoos, and body sprays, reflecting its commitment to ecological innovation and quality design.

The creation of these packages involved collaboration between Ball’s commercial, sustainability, supply chain, and R teams to ensure the correct use of certified aluminum and the proper application of the ASI logo.

“These aerosols are a tangible example of how we collaborate with customers to bring sustainability to the shelves, in a simple, visible, and scalable way,” highlighted Victoria Marletta, Ball’s vice president in the personal and home care division. The founders of Soffie and Aeroflex emphasized the importance of this alliance, which combines performance, design, and environmental responsibility.

This initiative aligns with Ball’s mission to harness the infinite potential of aluminum, a fully circular material that can be recycled indefinitely without losing quality, offering scalable circular economy solutions for the industry.
