The Málaga City Council has inaugurated a new bio-waste plant and modernized the mechanical-biological treatment plant at the Los Ruices Environmental Center. The mayor, Francisco de la Torre, and the Minister of Sustainability, Catalina García, appealed to citizens to improve the quality of recycling. The new facilities will double the treatment capacity and produce high-quality compost, in line with the circular economy objectives set for 2035.
