Ball Corporation’s philanthropic foundation commemorates the 10th anniversary of its Crush It Crusade (CIC) program, a campaign developed to promote aluminum can recycling and strengthen citizen commitment to sustainability in the United States.

Since its launch, the program has recycled approximately 3.5 million cans and reached over 2.5 million people. In addition, it has offered educational activities focused on recycling and the circular economy to nearly 20,000 children and young people.

CIC is an initiative launched in collaboration with Can’d Aid, an organization specializing in promoting recycling and access to sustainable solutions in local communities. Over these ten years, the campaign has installed recycling containers in multiple public spaces and carried out actions to raise awareness about the importance of closing the life cycle of materials.

Ball’s foundation directs its efforts towards four key pillars: STEM education, food security, disaster relief, and packaging recycling. The CIC project falls within this last line and underscores the ability of aluminum to be recycled infinitely without loss of quality.

With this celebration, Ball Corporation reinforces its commitment to the circular economy and highlights the role of companies in the sustainable transformation of the environment.
