The German company Plasmatreat, specializing in surface pretreatment, commemorates the 30th anniversary of its innovative Openair-Plasma technology. This solution modifies the surface properties of various materials to facilitate the application of ultra-thin coatings and improve adhesion, being widely used in sectors such as battery manufacturing.

The Openair-Plasma technology, developed by Plasmatreat, stands out for offering precise and efficient surface treatment without the need for solvents. It is used to clean, activate, or coat materials, and its use is essential in processes such as component bonding, painting, sealing, or adhesive application.

A notable evolution of this technology is the PlasmaPlus process, which incorporates active substances into the plasma to form functional layers. These layers can act as anti-corrosion barriers, improve electrical insulation, or function as environmentally friendly adhesive agents. These capabilities are especially valuable in the production of battery cells, the application of insulating coatings, module construction, and the sealing of battery housings.

The system is integrated directly into industrial production lines, allowing for automated, fast, and precise operation.
