TOMRA Recycling has announced the appointment of Katrin Fricke as the new Executive Vice President (EVP) and Head of Division, replacing Volker Rehrmann, who is retiring after more than 20 years of outstanding service to the company.

Fricke brings solid experience in operational management, corporate strategy, and digitalization, acquired in various industrial sectors. Before joining TOMRA, she held the position of EVP and General Manager of the Electronics division (KATEK brand) of the Kontron group, specializing in IoT technologies and embedded computing.

Tove Andersen, President and CEO of TOMRA, highlighted Katrin’s results-oriented approach, her passion for technology, and her alignment with the company’s values, “making her the ideal leader to drive our vision of leading the resource revolution”.

Fricke expressed her enthusiasm for joining TOMRA: “I was drawn to their commitment to the circular economy and their strong growth. I want to foster innovation and strengthen our technological leadership in recycling, sorting, and mining. I am passionate about technology, plant efficiency, leadership, and shared success”.
