A two-day technical seminar focusing on the manufacture of aluminum cans for ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages will be held on August 13 and 14, 2025. The event will bring together renowned companies in the sector and international experts to offer a comprehensive overview of the industrial processes, materials, and regulations governing this type of packaging.

Day 1, Wednesday, August 13, will begin at 7:15 AM with registration and general inquiries. The first presentations will be given by BetterCans, with an introduction to can manufacturing, and by Arconic Corporation, which will address the aluminum alloys used in the process. In addition, Stolle Machinery Company will present the process of forming aluminum cups, followed by a presentation by Henkel Corporation on industrial lubricants.

The day will continue after lunch with a second session by Stolle on cup forming and another presentation by Henkel, this time focusing on the acid cleaning process. Professor Melvin A. Pascall will close the day with a presentation on regulations applicable to materials in contact with food.

Day 2, Thursday the 14th, will open with an overview of the current state of the sector, also by BetterCans. Next, INX International Ink Co. will talk about color and ink standardization in global networks, followed by PPG Packaging Coatings with a presentation on coatings for packaging.

The program also includes key topics such as the RTD beverage filling process (by Pneumatic Scale | Angelus), double seam operation control (OneVision Corporation), in-container sterilization (JBT Marel), and the interaction between beverage and container, again with Professor Pascall.

This event is a must-attend for technicians, engineers, and professionals in beverage packaging, promising high-level technical training and an update on the latest technologies and challenges in the sector.
