A truck traveling on the EP8001 road, on the section connecting Catoira with Caldas in Galicia, overturned at the height of Dimo, on the way up to Carracedo. The accident, whose causes have not yet been determined, caused the partial closure of the road.
The accident occurred in a curve that usually causes problems on a regular basis. The driver suffered serious injuries and had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital do Salnés.
The vehicle was traveling in the direction of Catoira, going down the road, which leads to the suspicion that a shift of the load in a curve could have triggered the rollover. The trailer was stuck in the road, with the trailer partially blocking the lane.
