The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) has announced a new list of tariffs that will be applied to different imports of aluminum products that will come into effect on September 27, following a review by the Aluminum Association, which is still investigating the details of this new tariff. On the other hand, Canary Media has assured that Americans throw away a large amount of aluminum every year: around twelve 12-packs of 12 cans per person, which is equivalent to almost one billion dollars in metal. This unnecessary waste hurts both the economy and the environment. The publication advises more aggressive recycling policies.
