The National Police have dismantled a criminal group dedicated to international marijuana trafficking in the province of Malaga. The plot acquired pallets of legal merchandise and, after an arduous process of concealment, camouflaged the drugs inside cans of pickles. The drugs were transported to a house located in the town of Velez-Malaga in Malaga, which was used as a warehouse for the narcotic substances, where all the maneuvers were carried out to disguise the cannabis inside the containers. As a balance of the operation, 60 kilograms of marijuana have been seized and three people have been arrested and imprisoned by order of the competent judicial authority.

The sophisticated modus operandi to hide the marijuana had led the investigated persons to acquire a canning machine. In such a way that they had brand new empty cans, they also bought original cans containing pickles from a company in the sector outside the plot, removed the labels and placed them on the containers that they had made containing the drug. Once they had organized the tins with the hidden drugs, they put the pallet back together again so that no variation from the original could be noticed. The batches were stored in a logistics company hired by the detainees to transport the drugs to Lithuania, where they were distributed, thus multiplying the profits.
