Maker Wine, the leading canned wine company founded by women, announces its formal partnership with Regal Wine Company, California’s leading wine distributor.

Matt Conneely, General Manager of Regal Wine Co has made this announcement with which the company is excited about this merger since the same spirit unites the two companies, behind them there is a personal story, something to tell, that makes them different: “in doing so, they make wine more convenient, sustainable and equitable. Regal Wine is thrilled to bring its unique story to the marketplace and all of its constituents are excited about the opportunities this partnership will unlock.”

Regal will launch with Maker’s core portfolio of minimal intervention wines, as well as with Maker’s reserve line, which includes more exclusive varieties such as Vermentino Naranja and Cinsault Espumoso.

“Five years ago we had a crazy idea to reinvent a category previously thought to be an oxymoron: ‘premium canned wine.’ Since then, we’ve become the top-rated canned wine on the market today and have partnered with more than a dozen independent winemakers to share their award-winning wines with the world.” says Sarah Hoffman, co-founder of Maker Wine.

After 4 years of self-distribution in its home state, this union favors Maker Wine. Regal is an iconic name in the wine world and a distribution leader in California. “Beyond Regal’s reputation in the marketplace, we were impressed with their team and collaborative culture. They deeply understand our brand and the commitment we have to modern consumers, and like Maker, they have a deep commitment to quality, authentic storytelling and supporting brands with a mission.”

Maker is an award-winning canned wine company, with 43 gold medals in major competitions and 12 wines rated 90+ points. Maker has increased its wholesale business fivefold this year and has expanded its distribution to six states along the West Coast. The launch with Regal will include key California partners such as the Chase Center, Golden1 Center, Intuit Dome, Palisades Tahoe, Intercontinental Hotel San Diego, Raley’s and Pavilions.
