The packaging sector will present new proposals in the packaging sector with the aim of expanding into new markets.
The 2024 edition of Hispack will be an opportunity for Spanish packaging companies to increase their exports. Under the “Spanish Solutions” initiative, Spain’s leading packaging trade show, together with Amec Envasgraf, has planned a program of events focused on international visitors, including case study presentations, guided tours, a brokerage event and more than 800 scheduled meetings between exhibitors and key buyers from different countries.
Spain is among the top ten countries in the world in production and export of packaging machinery and equipment. Its specialty stands out for its internationalization capacity, adaptability to each project, flexibility, quality, advanced technology, competitive prices and excellent after-sales service. According to data provided by Amec Envasgraf, this industry has an annual turnover of 1,750 million euros.
During the previous year, there was a 15% increase in exports of Spanish packaging machinery compared to 2022. The United States continues to be the main market for these foreign sales. By geographic location, Europe accounts for almost half (48%) of exports, followed by the United States and Canada with 17%, Latin America with 16% and Asia with 9%.
Villegas assures that Spanish packaging technology producers will present at Hispack the main innovations that include greater automation and digitalization, equipment that is more adaptable to new materials, sustainable and efficient solutions, and compliance with high safety and quality standards.
In addition to showcasing the commercial offer, the Hispack 2024 event seeks to promote the competitive advantages of packaging solutions from Spain to international buyers. This edition will include a series of conferences where machinery manufacturers, together with their customers, will share their most successful cases.
Luis Villegas believes that the talks to be given at the event will enable visitors from other countries to learn about real case studies of client companies in a fast-paced and dynamic format. He is sure they will identify with the problems presented and learn how they were solved.
During the presentation of Delicias Coruña in collaboration with AND & OR, the implementation of automation in the palletizing process to avoid damage or damage to the products will be highlighted. In addition, Ayrtac succeeded in automating the production line of French producer Biper Gorri by installing a high vacuum dry packer, ensuring optimal preservation for its bell pepper powder.
Invpack, a company specialized in packaging machinery, offered a series of advantages to Chocolates Reybar, including the elimination of downtime and improvements in usability, which will be presented at the Hispack event. In addition, the case of Terg, a Polish company that achieved a customized packaging thanks to the collaboration between Limitronic and Sparck Technologies, which allowed them to save on material and improve product safety through a direct digital printing technique, is mentioned.
Innova found a solution for the Mexican manufacturer Nutec in its problem of final protection of its bags of animal feed products. Thanks to an automatic stretch wrapper, they were able to reduce the use of stretch film and improve pallet stability during transport.
