Alaska Airlines has launched a new promotion offering happy hour with no negative consequences for passengers on all of its flights. This means that alcoholic beverages can be enjoyed without worrying about the after effects.
To coincide with the Dry January celebration, the leading West Coast airline has begun offering Best Day Brewing Kölsch, a non-alcoholic beer to add to its premium beverage lineup.
The famous Best Day Kölsch, a premium beverage, will be included free of charge in First and Premium Class on flights offering a full beverage service. In addition, this product will also be available for purchase in the main cabin service during these flights.
Best Day Brewing, a San Francisco Bay Area brewery, is known for being the leading selling brand of non-alcoholic Kölsch in the United States. Kölsch beer, with its fresh and refreshing taste, has a special cachet. Its combination of roasted malt and light hops makes it a light option with only 55 calories per can. In addition, like all Best Day products, this non-alcoholic beer is non-GMO and meets kosher and vegan certifications.
“We are always looking for healthier food and beverage options that allow our guests to maintain their lifestyle without sacrificing the taste or quality of the product they consume,” said Todd Traynor-Corey, managing director of guest products for Alaska Airlines. “Best Day Brewing accomplishes that with its non-alcoholic craft beers founded right here on the West Coast.”
Best Day Brewing represents a significant change in the beverage world. As consumers’ relationship with alcohol evolves, the future of beverages is focused on being able to choose freely without compromising quality or experience.
In the last four years, there has been a significant increase in sales of non-alcoholic beers, growing by 31% annually. Most notably, 94% of buyers of this beverage continue to consume other types of alcoholic beverages such as beer, wine and spirits.
“At its core, the partnership with Alaska Airlines and Best Day Brewing is about celebrating life’s adventure. Having our non-alcoholic Kölsch at 30k feet is about enjoying all the benefits of cracking open a great tasting beer and recognizing that when you land, your journey has just begun,” added Tate Huffard, CEO of Best Day Brewing.
