ACTEGA DS GmbH, Bremen, Germany, has just commissioned a new photovoltaic system installed on the roof of its new 7,600 m² building.

The system is rated at nearly 1,000 kWp and is expected to generate more than 850,000 kWh of electricity per year. This investment is further proof of the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.

Wilfried Lassek, Managing Director of ACTEGA DS GmbH in Bremen, underlines the importance of this step: “By investing in the photovoltaic system, we reinforce our commitment to manufacturing sustainable, resource-saving products. The system will cover part of our electricity needs and thus contribute to further minimizing our environmental impact.” Dennis Siepmann, ACTEGA’s Sustainability Director, adds: “ACTEGA develops sustainable solutions for various markets. Generating electricity for our production is an important step in reducing our own emissions. The photovoltaic system at our Bremen plant is an excellent example of how companies can fulfill their responsibility to the environment.”

The PV system covers the entire permitted portion of ACTEGA’s new building in Bremen and will contribute to further reducing the company’s carbon footprint. The energy generated will be used directly in the production process to ensure even more environmentally friendly production.
