Successful Edition of LATAMCAN 2023 in Mexico: A Meeting that Marked the History of the Latin American Metal Packaging Industry

The recent edition of LATAMCAN, the leading event in the metal packaging industry in Latin America, has left an indelible mark on the history of this sector. From July 12 to 14, Mexico City was the epicenter of innovation and knowledge exchange in the field of can and metal container manufacturing.

The Director of LATAMCAN, Raul, expressed his satisfaction and pride in the success of this edition: “We are very pleased with the success of the 2023 edition of LATAMCAN, held in Mexico City this past July 12-14. The quantity and quality of the executives who attended from the different metal packaging manufacturing plants and organizations indicates to us that LATAMCAN has become the must-attend event for the entire industry in our region.”said Raul.

One of the highlights of this edition was the high quality of the technical presentations, which were praised by the can manufacturers. In addition, the exhibition brought together a total of 106 commercial tables, marking a milestone in the history of LATAMCAN in terms of exhibitors.

The tribute ceremony also attracted the attention of the attendees, since on this occasion the professional work of two outstanding professionals was recognized: Teresa Ramos and Martha Rojas. Raul emotionally shared: “The event was very emotional due to the effect that these two extraordinary professionals have earned. Again we would like to express our congratulations to Teresa and Martha.”

Opportunities for networking and strengthening relationships between local suppliers and customers took place at the various lunches organized during the event. The closing dinner, in particular, left a lasting impression by offering authentically Mexican entertainment that highlighted the host country’s cultural diversity.

With an eye to the future, Raul anticipated exciting news: “We are already making preparations for LATAMCAN 2024, which will be held at the Hilton Buenos Aires facilities located in the Puerto Madero area, from April 17 to 19. Next September we will make the official announcement for the opening of the registration process. We look forward to seeing you all in Buenos Aires.”
