New recycling record. Nearly one million aluminum cans were redeemed at Artman Corporation’s Lower Base facility after the Office of Grants Management and the Zero Waste Task Force launched a 2023 initiative. María Flor Deleon Guerrero, grants expert and manager of the Recycling Redemption Initiative, announced that more than one million aluminum cans have been received since the start of the project.

Deleon Guerrero explained that the goal is to recycle 5 million cans by August due to the fact that so far customers have paid $51,661.35 per can, which is a percentage of 20.66%.

The Grants Office and the Zero Waste Task Force were pleased with the contribution people made to combat the problem of waste in places such as beaches, remote areas and even those that are difficult to reach. This was reflected by their positive comments from the various government agencies.

In addition, Artman will focus on the task of packaging/compressing the aluminum cans in order to transport them to another location, where they will be recycled and transformed. Until August 31, people will be allowed to return their aluminum cans and receive a financial reward for them as part of a recycling project.
