ANHEUSER-BUSCH DELIVERS 50,000 CANS OF DRINKING WATER FOLLOWING SEVERE FLOODING IN CALIFORNIA
To support flood relief, rescue and salvage efforts in California, Anheuser-Busch announced the donation of more than 50,000 cans of drinking water as a way to help alleviate the severe flooding ravaging parts of California.
The American Red Cross asked Anheuser-Busch to help deliver these thousands of cans of drinking water as an emergency measure, specifically in the state of California due to heavy flooding caused by various storms. Precisely to protect the well-being of workers, Anheuser-Busch has been paying special attention to its teams in cities such as Fairfield and Los Angeles. These actions have been taken to ensure that all colleagues and collaborators in the region are in safe and optimal conditions.
In view of the emergency situation, Anheuser-Busch has decided to make a donation of drinking water. To this end, they have contacted Markstein Sales Company, a distributor located in Antioch, California. The goods will be transported with the American Red Cross to provide aid to those most in need.
Clean, safe drinking water comes from the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Fort Collins, Colorado, which along with the Cartersville, Georgia, brewery periodically stops beer production throughout the year for emergency drinking water to help communities in times of disaster in partnership with the American Red Cross.
“As we recover from the recent flooding, our thoughts are with our entire community, especially our nearly 3,500 colleagues who call California home. Our team at Fairfield is proud of the support Anheuser-Bush is providing through this critical donation as we come together and manage the effects of the storms with our families, friends and neighbors,” said Travis Moore, general manager of Anheuser-Busch Fairfield Brewery.
Anheuser-Busch has a long tradition of supporting disaster relief efforts in partnership with the American Red Cross, dating back to 1906. Since the inception of the emergency drinking water program in 1988, Anheuser-Busch and its wholesale partners have provided more than 90 million cans of water to U.S. communities affected by natural disasters and other crises.
Already in 2022, Anheuser-Busch donated more than 3 million cans of emergency drinking water to communities and volunteer fire departments in 49 states in support of ongoing relief efforts.
