EDOUARD GUINOTTE, NEW PRESIDENT OF ALUMINIUM SOLUTIONS GROUP
Aluminium Solutions Group (ASG) announced a few months ago the appointment of Edouard Guinotte as the group’s new president and CEO. Specifically, ASG was formed in September 2022 through the acquisitions of Aluminium France Extrusion (AFE) and Extrusiones de Toledo, better known as Extol and dedicated to the manufacture of aluminum profiles by extrusion and their surface treatment. Both companies belong to OpenGate Capital’s portfolio.
Prior to joining ASG, Guinotte was president and CEO of Vallourec Group, a seamless steel pipe manufacturer for the energy and industrial markets. During his more than 25-year career, Guinotte has held various operational and functional positions at Vallourec in France and abroad. In addition, he led Vallourec USA Corporation, its Houston, Texas-based sales and distribution subsidiary, from 2011 to 2014 and joined the group’s Executive Committee in 2017 to head the Middle East-Asia region, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, until 2019. Guinotte holds an engineering degree from the Ecole des Mines de Paris and the INSEAD Management Development Program.
ASG is a new group formed in September 2022 through the acquisitions of Aluminium France Extrusion (AFE) and Extrusiones de Toledo (“EXTOL”), portfolio companies of OpenGate Capital.
Guinotte had a long career as president and CEO of Vallourec Group, listed on the SBF 120 in Paris), a world leader in seamless steel tubes for the energy and industrial markets, until March 2022. During his more than 25-year career, Guinotte has held various operational and functional positions at Vallourec in France and abroad. Guinotte led Vallourec USA Corporation, its Houston, Texas-based sales and distribution subsidiary, from 2011 to 2014, and joined the group’s Executive Committee in 2017 to head the Middle East-Asia region, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, until 2019.
