NESTLÉ DOMINICANA LAUNCHES NEW INFANT NUTRITION FORMULA BASED ON HUMAN MILK COMPONENTS

Nestlé Dominicana announced the launch of a new infant nutrition formula based on human milk components. The novelty contains a complex of five human milk oligosaccharides.

Nestlé Dominicana announced the launch of a new breakthrough in infant nutrition, introducing its most advanced infant formulas containing a complex of five human milk oligosaccharides (HMO). HMOs are the third largest volume element in breast milk. This innovation is backed by more than 150 years of Nestlé® research in the area of infant nutrition.

Hegla De Los Santos, Scientific Affairs Nestlé® Nutrition Caribbean, emphasized that HMOs are an important part of infant nutrition as evidenced by their role in the composition of breast milk, which is the best food for infants. Emerging research indicates that they play a major role in the development of the gut, brain and immune system.

“Nestlé® has studied human milk for decades and recognizes its tremendous benefits. This new infant formula is the latest of our innovations inspired by its key components, and we will continue to advance the science behind our products to deliver the best possible nutrition in the pediatric population,” he concluded.
