The fishing firm of Vigo origin known as Worldwide Fishing Company (Wofco) announced the purchase of its second production facility in Spain after the acquisition of Aucosa based in Chapela.

Aucosa was on the verge of insolvency a few months ago. From that moment on, with the appointment of interim managers to run the company, a viable exit was negotiated in order not to suspend payments. The company, which had invested heavily, was having problems with suppliers and was not receiving goods.

Alberto Barreiro and Borja Tenorio, the owners of the second largest fish products company Wofco, are headquartered in Vigo and have offices on five continents.
