Months ago, AC Golden Brewing Company released its first IPA variety pack this year, featuring three beers full of citrus flavor that big hop aroma craft drinkers crave.

That 12-pack, called the Juicy IPA Pack, is already Colorado’s third best-selling new variety pack and the No. 2 best-selling IPA variety pack, according to IRI data for the 13 weeks ending Oct. 9.

“It’s been exciting to see it take off. These are trendy beers, and we know there’s a lot of runway in the hazy, juicy IPA space,” Said Jeff Cornell, general manager of AC Golden. “The Colorado Native portfolio will always have its place as our flagship, but one of our main goals in launching new trend-setting products like the Juicy IPA package gives us the opportunity to present ourselves as who we really are: AC Golden Brewing Company, “ said Cornell.

The Juicy IPA Pack, which has eclipsed sales of Colorado Native’s Day Pack, features three juice bombs: All the Juice, a tropical IPA clocking in at 6.5% ABV; Orange Haze, a 7.3% ABV hazy IPA built with orange and tangerine flavor; and Sneaky 8, an 8% citrus and hoppy double IPA. “We did our homework. We knew we wanted to be accessible, and we thought drawing attention to flavor versus haze was the best approach,” , he added.

IPAs remain the largest sub-segment of craft beer, and so-called juicy beers are at the forefront of that growth. AC Golden’s Juicy variety pack aims to promote the juicy flavor of its beers in a way that appeals to both hop lovers and novice craft drinkers, he says.

When Stone Brewing Company took over AC Golden and the shop, it was renamed Escondites AC Golden. Sales of Golden beer, one of the most popular beers available in the U.S., have already begun.
