Damm announced the purchase of Eagle Brewery’s facilities in Bedford (England). The brewing group thus acquires Eagle Brewery in Bedford (England) in order to manufacture its own brands in one of the company’s main markets abroad.
With the purchase of its first brewery in the United Kingdom, Damm makes a qualitative leap in its internationalization process. The Eagle Brewery plant. located in Bedford, England, was owned by Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company (CMBC) prior to the transaction.
With this purchase, Damm has acquired its second brewery outside Spain after buying the Portuguese brewery Cintra in Santarém 9 years ago. Precisely, 30% of its activity is already in the foreign market and the brands it represents are present in 130 countries.
The brewery, which opened in 1976, can produce up to one million hectoliters per year, most of which is draught beer. The space is 90 kilometers from London and 120 kilometers from Birmingham (the most populated cities in England), and its 67 employees will join Damm’s workforce in the country.
