MEGA Museo Estrella Galicia inaugurated this year in April, this original exhibition in which historical examples of beverage cans belonging to the private collection of the Beverage Can Association could be seen. Thanks to the interest generated, the borrowed containers will remain at   MEGA until next January.

A unique plan for lovers of beer in cans, as it is the perfect opportunity to see up close a copy of the Krueger Cream Ale, the first can of beverages marketed in 1935; or a “Coronation Beer”, the can of beverages made for the coronation of George VI of England in 1937, or even a copy of the first can of beverages marketed in Spain in 1966. In addition to these iconic examples, the Beverage Can Association has loaned the Estrella Galicia Museum many others from later years that do not go unnoticed due to their original designs, sizes and openings.

The beverage can has been present in society for almost nine decades and throughout this time has undergone all kinds of innovations. If you’re a fan of this infinitely recyclable packaging, don’t miss these historic gems. At MEGA Museo Estrella Galicia, at A Coruña, until January 2023.
