The multinational Ardagh Metal Packaging SA was one of the winners at the World Beverahe Innovation Awards. An award that adds to a successful week for the metal beverage can manufacturer at this year’s drinktec exhibition in Munich, Germany. All winners and finalists in the 20th World Beverage Innovation Awards were announced during Drinktec 2022 in Munich, Germany. The panel of judges considered more than 150 entries from 17 countries in 22 categories.

This year’s awards recognized some of the most ambitious and innovative new products of 2022 in the beverage industry. In the best sparkling beverage category the winner was ikaffe partner co ltd – chillme while in the best premium / adult beverage category Hunt and Brew won first prize.

Best herbal beverage went to ikaffe partner co ltd – chillme (apple and ruby black tea vinegar sparkling water) while best packaging/label design went to denomination – Wise Wolf by Banrock Station.

In the category of best new brand/business the winner was CAMPO società cooperativa agricola – Canù (the first gluten-free and GMO-free organic pasta straw) while in the case of best metal design the award went to Ardagh Metal Packaging – H! GHEND.

In the case of the best marketing campaign, the multinational PepsiCo Design & Innovation – PepsiTaste Challenge LTO 2021 won the award, while the best manufacturing/processing innovation went to CUPEX – Café Tasogare de tapa.

In the best low/non-alcoholic beverage category, first place went to AB InBev – Corona Zero Alcohol Free. In the case of the best infusion / botanical drink BPI – Dilmah Single Origin Ceylon Ice Tea took first place while the best health / wellness drink was awarded to JoyBräu Functional Beer – Vitamin Beer.

In the case of the best glass design the award went to Ardagh Glass Packaging – AbsolutVoices while that of the best functional beverage went to Ölgerðin Egill Skallagrímsson hf. – COLLAB Forest berries.

Likewise, in the case of the best environmentally friendly packaging, AB InBev Corona – 20 cases of bottles won first prize, while the winner of the dairy beverage category was Soy Nutri – Quinoa Wellness Beverage (PROBIOTIC). In the case of the best CSR/sustainability initiative, Boxed Water Is Better® – Boxed Water™ won first place, while PepsiCo Design & Innovation – NeonZebra Brand Launch was recognized in the best beverage-in-a-box design category.

In the case of best beverage ingredient LANXESS – Nagardo Tasogare Coffee – Americano RTD was the winner while in the case of best beverage concept Buzzed Energy – Buzzed Energy won the award.

The award for best alcoholic beverage went to Tios Drinks – Hard Te while the category for best technological innovation went to AB InBev – Optimization of the balance of the Segue AI line and the case for best dispensing concept went to Re-Cap Solutions.
