Zug, Switzerland-based metal packaging manufacturer Eviosys has announced that it will make new investments in one of its sites in France, Concarneau (Brittany). The company, which supplies brands with lithographic packaging and easy-open closures, is modernizing this center by investing in new manufacturing and printing equipment.

The company, which specializes in the manufacture of round and rectangular metal cans, as well as easy-open lids, is modernizing this facility by investing in new manufacturing and printing equipment. The multinational, which employs around 200 people, manufactures round and rectangular metal cans, as well as easy-open lids that are varnished and lithographed locally.

Precisely, the convenience and sustainability of canned food products is becoming increasingly popular among consumers. In addition, the latest figures show +3.7% growth in volume and +4.8% growth in value between 2019 and 2021. To support this growth, the company has made a series of industrial investments over the past two years. This includes a new lithography line, new easy-open lid manufacturing lines, automation, automatic camera control and modernization of employee workspaces.

Eviosys has 6,600 employees in 44 branches in 17 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). It has seven plants in France: Concarneau, Carpentras, Laon, Nantes, Outreau, Périgueux, Châtillon-sur-Seine. In 2021, it generated profits of €2.1 billion.
