ANDRÉ BARON, NEW PRESIDENT OF HENKEL LATINOAMERICA

André Baron has just been appointed president of Henkel Latinoameica, the multinational adhesives, sealants and functional coatings company. The new manager replaces Hannes Schollenberger, who recently completed his work in Latin America for the German-based company.

“It is an honor for me to represent Henkel Latin America to my global colleagues, and to have the opportunity to take the region to the next level of growth and development, not only in terms of business, but also in how to leverage talent for Latin America and the world,” says Baron, president of Henkel Latin America.

Sylvie Nicol, Executive Vice President, Global Human Resources and Infrastructure, and a member of the company’s Management Board at its headquarters in Düsseldorf, Germany, will take over from Baron.

Hannes Schollenberger, meanwhile, completed his assignment in Latin America and returned to Germany to work in a new role within the merger of the Laundry and Home Care businesses, together with Beauty Care, announced a few weeks ago by the German company.

“I leave Latin America in very good hands. I am sure that I will see the work we have done together in the region over the past years start to bear more and more fruit for my colleagues at Henkel Latin America. André together with the Regional Executive Committee will have a very important job to continue on this path and take Latin America to the next level,” Schollenberger reiterated.

Baron began his career at Henkel in 2008 in Germany in the strategic planning function, subsequently following commercial positions in the Adhesive Technologies business in several of its subdivisions in countries such as Germany, Colombia and Brazil.

Since 2019, André has been vice president of the Industrial Adhesives Business for Latin America, excluding Mexico, and as of this month, he also carries the responsibility as regional president of Henkel Latin America.
