Multinational Ball Corporation, a leading global supplier of sustainable aluminum cans, cups and bottles, has announced that it will be a key partner in helping Coldplay advance its commitment to making the Music Of The Spheres world tour as environmentally beneficial as possible. As part of the tour, Ball will provide its Ball Aluminum Cup™ at venues where the legendary band Coldplay performs in the U.S. and select locations internationally, helping to reduce waste and strengthen refilling and recycling.

“Ball is committed to helping artists, venues and fans minimize the significant impact entertainment has on the environment by strengthening on-site recycling and providing innovative, infinitely recyclable aluminum cans, cups and bottles – a sustainable alternative to the millions of plastic containers discarded every year,” confirms Dan Fisher, president and CEO of Ball Corporation. “We are excited to continue these efforts in partnership with Coldplay and support their mission to inspire a green music touring culture while providing fans with an eco-friendly way to enjoy their favorite beverages and enjoy a great concert,” adds the executive.

In 2019, Coldplay pledged to make their future tours as environmentally beneficial as possible, and this time their new tour announcement includes a variety of environmental commitments, including a tree planted for every ticket sold and, at most venues, a show powered by 100 percent renewable energy.

“Partnering with Ball has been an essential component of our efforts to minimize waste and maximize recycling wherever we operate. We are excited to offer fans a truly sustainable option for their beverages in the form of infinitely recyclable Ball aluminum cups,” says Coldplay.
