The VMI company and its employees have collectively donated €160,000 to ‘Giro 555’, which is the Dutch part of the Global Emergency Appeal Alliance. The grant will be used to provide practical support to the Ukrainian people and those affected by the conflict.
Michael Oosterhuis of the Works Council presented a check to Harm Voortman, CEO of VMI Group, at VMI’s headquarters in the Netherlands. This donation is part of a series of measures that VMI has undertaken worldwide to help refugees. Specifically, VMI Poland has been actively involved in the delivery of food and shelter.
Voortman notes, “We are very proud of the VMI family’s efforts to support refugees in this unprecedented crisis. We sincerely hope that our contribution to the Emergency Appeals Alliance will directly help the Ukrainian people. Our thoughts are with all the affected people in the area.”
