Being the most recycled container in the world is just one of the reasons why the Beverage Can Association launched the #DrinkCan campaign to get this metal container its own emoji.

WhatsApp or Telegram, social networks such as Twitter or Facebook or classic emails or forums, emoticons are becoming increasingly important because they allow us to express feelings, actions, tastes, preferences. Beverage cans are one of consumers’ favorite containers, but in the food and beverage section, they are still not present.

It seems that this initiative is already having a strong following on the change.org website. So far, the campaign, which is still active, has achieved 340 of the 500 signatures needed to get the famous can to be incorporated into the list of the most original emoticons and used in social networks.

Its advantages are very varied, its lightness and resistance allow it to be transported comfortably and safely from the point of sale to the home. In addition, its cylindrical shape makes it easy to stack, it can be recycled infinite times and its 360º printing surface allows the creation of true works of art, with designs that could be exhibited in any gallery.
