High-end color management solutions developer GMG, has announced that it will act as a gold sponsor, exhibiting at the Printing United Alliance COLOR22 conference, January 22-25 at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines near the San Diego, CA airport. USA

COLOR22 will feature more than 25 sessions presented by top color experts who will help attendees take their color skills and knowledge to a new level. GMG will be one of the active participants in this program.

Birgit Plautz, Technical Services Manager of GMG Americas, will participate in the panel ‘Standards Today and Tomorrow’ on January 24. “A lot of work goes into developing color standards for the industry. However, not everyone agrees on which ones are most important, how they are best implemented, or when they should be implemented. In this panel discussion, panelists will discuss current trends, technologies, standards development and how it will affect color management in the future,” he notes.

Marc Levine, Business Development Manager at GMG Americas, will be speaking on January 23 on the main stage during the COLOR Tools Breakout Track, entitled ‘How to accurately communicate brand color specifications and tolerances visually across all types of print with GMG Color’.

During the individual presentations, GMG will focus on products that ensure that the specified color is the color that is reproduced, regardless of the printing process. For example, GMG ColorServer enables printers to optimize color for different types of printing and to combine color in different printing technologies.

“Color specification is the cornerstone of accurate color management. To be successful, print providers must accurately predict and reproduce the colors that brands specify,” Levine maintains. “COLOR22 is the color management event of the year, attended by those who consider color production to be extremely crucial. It provides GMG with an excellent opportunity to discuss color reproduction in a group setting and assist during one-on-one discussions. We look forward to helping printers and print buyers ensure that every color requested is printed to specification,” he adds.
