Global event organiser Easyfair has announced that ADF & PCD and PLD Paris 2022, the world’s leading gathering for packaging innovators in the beauty, premium beverage, aerosol and dispensing markets, has been rescheduled for 29-30 June 2022.

The organization, following the recent events caused by the coronavirus pandemic, believes that it will be impossible to hold a successful event in January. “Over the past few months, the Easyfair team has been working tirelessly with event partners, exhibitors and the wider community to plan the next edition of ADF & PCD and PLD Paris in January 2022; and the 2022 edition is shaping up to be the biggest in the event’s 21-year history,” they add.

Easyfair is confident that moving the dates to June is the best way to ensure a successful event that will continue to connect and inspire the entire international community of developers, designers and packaging providers it serves. The event will be held at the same venue as originally planned, Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.

They also add that many countries are re-imposing restrictions as a result of the current wave of cases, while new restrictions on cross-border travel are being implemented since the appearance of the Omicron variant in recent weeks. In addition, the French government has recently announced a requirement for a third dose of the vaccine for all adults to maintain their Covid passport and the new requirement will come into effect on January 15, 2022, just days before the event.

Renan Joel, Easyfair’s divisional director of packaging events in the UK and France, adds, “Our mission is to deliver fantastic events that connect the packaging innovation community, drive innovation and business and provide a truly inspiring vision for the future. We want to make sure the next edition does just that and moving the event to the June dates will give the whole community the best chance of getting the event they deserve.”
