As part of its ambition to brew beers that the world likes and its firm commitment to transparency and business ethics, this alliance once again positions the Dutch brewery as a benchmark in sustainability that works to add value to today’s society.

Indeed, Heineken Spain is already the first beverage company and the first brewery to join the ‘Digital Pact for the Protection of Individuals’, a pioneering initiative promoted by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) to strengthen the right of individuals to data protection while promoting innovation and sustainability in organizations.

Javier Alvarez, D&T director of Heineken Spain explains that “in the Heineken Spain family, people come first. And we demonstrate this by taking care of them, their safety and also their privacy. With a preventive approach and a firm commitment to transparency, we take responsibility to make our team, our future employees and also our customers, consumers, partners and all our stakeholders know what personal data we obtain with our activity, when we record them and what we use them for. We use technology in an ethical and responsible way, in order not to promote inequalities and to protect vulnerable people with our actions and communications”.

With this adhesion, as part of its ambition to brew beers that the world likes, the brewery once again positions itself as a benchmark in social sustainability in its sector by committing to follow the values, principles and recommendations set out in this pact for citizen coexistence in the digital environment. Making privacy an asset that increases the competitiveness of your organization and encouraging behaviors that contribute to solving one of the major concerns of today’s society.
