Anheuser-Busch, the largest brewer in the United States, has just announced an $18.2 million investment in its Fort Collins (Colorado) brewery. This announcement is in line with the announcement made by the American brewer earlier this year where it said it would invest $ 1 billion over two years in the company’s facilities “to help accelerate the nation’s recovery and boost economic prosperity in U.S. communities, as stated in its press release.

“We are proud to be a dedicated member of the Fort Collins community since 1988, and this investment epitomizes our deep commitment to our community and the brewing industry as a whole,” said Gene Bocis, senior general manager of Anheuser-Busch Fort Collins Brewery. “Our team is excited to continue to expand our ability and capacity to craft some of America’s most recognized and beloved brands right here in Fort Collins, where we employ nearly 600 people.”

The investment in the Fort Collins brewery is part of a 26-state investment aimed at expanding Anheuser-Busch’s U.S. operations, stimulating the U.S. economy, but also, as the company says, enabling sustainable innovations.

“The Fort Collins brewery plays an important role in enabling our innovations and producing the highest quality products for our consumers to enjoy. This investment in Fort Collins and the surrounding community is one of the ways Anheuser-Busch is helping to accelerate our overall recovery,” said Brendan Whitworth, CEO of Anheuser-Busch.

The U.S. beer industry creates more than 2 million jobs and generates more than $331 billion in economic activity each year. And within that, Anheuser-Busch has been around for more than 160 years. It owns and operates more than 120 facilities nationwide and employs more than 19,000 hardworking people.”
