PACK EXPO REWARDS CANOVATION’S ‘CANRESEAL’ TECHNOLOGY

Canovation’s CanReseal technology has made it to the finals in two of the four packaging categories at Pack Expo’s Technology Excellence Awards.

Among the innovations brought, CanReseal now allows a normal metal can to be a fully resealable, airtight and liquid-tight sustainable packaging solution. This new line has also been designed to meet the growing global demand for sustainability in the packaging industry. The technological solutions in this system add threading just below the ubiquitous double seam that allows a metal closure to be screwed into the top of the can to create an air and liquid tight seal.

The company will announce the final results during the Pack Expo Show on September 27-29 in Las Vegas. An event where companies present the best innovations in consumer packaged goods in North America. Pack Expo notified three finalists in each of its four award categories: Food/Beverage; General Packaging; General Processing; and Personal Care/Pharmaceutical. Canovation is a finalist in the Food / Beverage and Personal Care / Pharma categories.

“We have been working hard to perfect our CanReseal technology. We believe it will be a game changer for the consumer packaged goods industry due to consumer demands for fully sustainable packaging. We look forward to the final results of the awards competition in September. Our entire team was very excited to learn that we are finalists in two categories,” said Michele Merrell, director of marketing.

In September, show attendees will visit the finalist companies’ booths to see their innovations live during PACK EXPO Las Vegas and vote to determine the best of the best among the Technology Excellence Awards finalists. Voting will be accessible in three ways: online, on-site and through the Pack Expo mobile app, starting Monday, September 27 at 9:00 am until noon on Tuesday, September 28.

PACK EXPO Las Vegas is the only show this year to cover the entire packaging and processing industry in four spacious convention center halls.
