Sacmi, supplier of machines and complete plants, celebrates the 105th anniversary of its foundation with a free event open to the public.
To celebrate this anniversary, Sacmi will open the doors of its plant in Imola with a special event on Saturday, November 30, called “A day at Sacmi to discover our world”, the initiative will allow attendees to get a closer look at the advances and innovations that the company has implemented in recent years.
Sacmi’s last five years have been ones of radical change, according to company sources, and it has embarked on bold projects that look to the future with the construction of smarter machines, working towards a cleaner environment.
Sacmi is a company that continues to add hundreds of new employees each year (almost 600 in 2023), with more than 50% of hires under 30 years of age and a high percentage with excellent STEM profiles. In addition, Sacmi provided its employees with 92,000 hours of training in 2023. Visitors on Saturday, November 30 will be welcomed by those same “Sacmi people”, with more than 100 volunteers participating in this special day. Sacmi’s history is closely linked to that of the city of Imola. After decades of expansion alongside the Italian ceramics and packaging industries, Sacmi has become a truly global company. It has branches in 27 countries and more than 5,200 employees, although its technological and manufacturing heart remains firmly in Italy.
